THE ROAD MAP
TO A NEW KIND OF TEA BUSINESS
|
Tea Connexions Distributors
will soon be offered limited edition copies of this aged
Teaopolis map, drawn by the established English illustrator and animator
Jon Harrison
Gourmet Teas Beautifully
Packaged, is the by-line of Tea Connexions. The mission
of UK-based Shangers Limited is to celebrate tea through collectable
gifts and to produce teatime entertainment for the family.
Through October Mike Prince,
the creator of the Shangers story, the land of Teaopolis and
its young heroine, Princess Teana, will be in Saskatoon, Canada,
to lock down the planned partnership between Tea Connexions and
Shangers. This new alliance will offer the tea world
a unique company whose goal will be to champion tea through the distribution
of fine-tasting teas, beautiful tea accessories, collectable tea
antiques as well as introducing children to the delights of the
ceremony and tradition of tea through Princess Teana and her family,
who live on the fantasy island of Teaopolis.
Sanjay Gupta (CEO of Tea Connexions)
comments:
Tea naturally connects to so many positive aspects of life: relaxation,
family and friends getting together, its a healthy beverage with
an incredible 5000 year history. Now, through Shangers, Tea Connexions
brings entertainment and story-telling to the tea experience.
Mike Prince, creator of Shangers,
looks ahead to his next visit to Tea Connexions:
Im very excited at the prospect of meeting the full team
at the Saskatoon HQ and hope to meet Distributors and potential partners
from the US who will be visiting over the weekend of October 17th, 18th
and 19th. Tea is our launch pad for building a new intellectual property
complete with stories, entertainment and new product lines for the family.
For some time its been my ambition to grow an important recognizable
brand through local marketing. Shangers offers a chance for Distributors
to play a key and exclusive role in achieving our goals.
Also in attendance at the October
opportunity meeting will be Michael Nabicht from Louisville, Kentucky,
who for 25 years has been working in both broadcast and schools video
production, and has been awarded three Golden Eagles for his programmes.
Nabicht will be reviewing the market opportunity of selling Princess
Teana learning materials to schools, PTAs, parents and carers, and says:
Children love enacting tea
parties with their dolls and toys. The Shangers legend with its heroine
Princess Teana takes role-play and dressing up games to a new learning
level. Teatime entertainment is a wholesome product to represent.
By web link from the UK, Jon
Harrison, the English illustrator, animator, producer and founder
partner of Shangers, will be joining the October meeting to outline
the media plans for Princess Teana.
The partnership between Tea Connexions
and Shangers will open up a new category of products based on the worlds
most respected beverage. To outline this opportunity, Tea Connexions
will be chairing a Distributor Forum in Saskatoon from 17th through
to 19th October 2003.
